Sexi Mexi's Five Hot Takes

Justin Herbert is QB1 in 2022

One of only three QBs to have a 5,000 yard season in his first two season (Dan Marino and Pat Mahomes). Herbert finished QB2 in 2021 and retained his main weapons in the offseason while adding a younger TE in Gerald Everett. Herbert is top 3 in ADP this year but is one track to unseat reigning QB1 Josh Allen.

Trey Lance finishes higher than the rest of his class in 2022

Coming out of the strong 2021 class Trey Lance was seen as the most unproven of the five first-round QBs. After a first year that saw him play only 2.5 games, Lance is being rumored to be a bust without even seeing a full season. While Lawrence, Wilson, Fields and Jones have more NFL experience, lance has the better team around him.

Jerry Jeudy is a Top 24 WR

The news of Russell Wilson coming to Denver has made fantasy managers rejoice with their Jeudy and Sutton stocks. Jeudy was pitiful in 2021, but he's really talented as a route technician and with a new QB he could reap the benefits of better targets.

Derrick Henry isn't done

The man is a different breed, not only did he finish the Week 8 game against the Colts on a broken foot but he returned for the playoffs! This is someone we shouldn't stray away from just yet, that playoff game was not an indication of a down fall. Go back to the Henry well especially in Re-Draft leagues.

Derek Carr is a Top 5 QB in 2022

I can hear the laugh track as people see this take, but think about this Tom Brady and Matthew Stafford were top 5 QBs while having less than 100 rushing yards. Dual threat QBs often make it in the top 5 but Stafford and Brady got in because of the superior weapons around them. Which make my case for Carr sound reasonable. Lets not forget Carr had 4,800 passing yards, right in the realm of Stafford, the big difference was Stafford had 41 TDs and Carr had 23. Now with Davante Adams in Vegas we should expect those TD numbers to climb.
